On 21 July 1931 in Lucas, Ohio he married Elenore Tossy, (adopted) daughter of Albert H. Tossy and Edna Moore. They had two children, Daniel Frederick Rogers and Albert Laurence Rogers.
In 1938 he met Mildred Virginia Griffin and they had 6 children; Joan Sharon, James Richard, Danielle Rae, Robert Wain, Virginia Nadine, and Margaret Susan.
He served in the United States Navy; The USS Arizona and USS Holland were among many of the ships he served on. He was a Fireman First Class. When he left the Navy he worked as a machinist for Lockheed in Los Angeles.
My mother loved and adored her dad and she missed him dearly.
