Charles W. Clarke, 58, well known and highly esteemed farmer of the Figsboro neighborhood, passed away early Monday morning following a brief illness. The deceased suffered a stroke of paralysis Sunday morning at his home from which he failed to recover.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon from Camp Branch Primitive Baptist Church, to be followed by interment nearby. Surviving is his wife and several children. Clarke was a life long citizen of Henry County and well known throughout the northern part of the county.

The paper dated Sept. 22, 1933, p. 1, col. 6, said the funeral took place from the home with burial in the church cemetery. Members of the Junior Order of the United Mechanics here attended the final rites in a body, and acted as pall bearers and flower bearers. Surviving is his wife, one daughter and one son. Several brothers and sisters also remain.
