Funeral services for William Ervin (Joe) Ratliff, 13 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. S.W. Ratliff, of 3150 Third Street Circle, who drowned Sunday in Lorna Doone Lake near Orlando will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday in Grace Baptist Church. The Rev. W.I. Sanders, Pastor, will officiate. Pallbearers will be R.R. Riddle, Frank Dismuke, V.W. Duckworth, P.W. McLeod, Fred Smith, and Guy Gibson. Members of the junior department of Sunday School of the Grace Baptist Church will serve as honorary escorts. Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery. The child had lived in Jacksonville all his life and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Surviving are his parents, two brothers, Marvin Henderson and Roy Leo; four sisters, Nancy June, Ella Irene, Billie Mae and Connie Laverne Ratliff; his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. S.H. Ratliff; and his paternal grandfather, S.E. Connell, all of Jacksonville; and an uncle, R.E. Crutchfield of Orlando. Arrangements are under the direction of Giddens Riverside Chapel, 115 Riverside Ave.
