ADAMS, James I., age 76 of Nashville, formerly of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, July 30,
2002, in Nashville. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, he was a graduate of
the University of Tennessee with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and he worked for the
Pennsylvania Railroad, the L & N Railroad and the CSX Corp in the engineering department.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sullivan Adams of Maryville.
Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Maas of Jacksonville, FL; sons, James Richard Adams
of Houston, TX, David Andrew Adams of Nashville and Robert Alan Adams of Cincinnati, OH;
13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home
Chapel. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral
