Annie Zola DeHart Joyce, 86, of Collinsville, died Tuesday, December 23, 2003, at Blue Ridge Rehab Center in Martinsville.
She was born September 11, 1917 in Patrick County and was a daughter of the late Green Lee and Molly Weaver DeHart.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Joyce, in 1990; four sisters, Ora Dillion, Mae Hylton, Tennie Joyce and Florence DeHart; and two brothers, Elijah DeHart and Roosevelt DeHart.
She was a former member of the Woolwine United Methodist Church and was a current member of Stone Memorial Christian Church. She was a member of the Collinsville AMVETS.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Jane Lackey of Bassett, Millie Mabe of Stoneville, N.C., and Barbery McLawhorn of Collinsville; two sons, Jimmy Lee Joyce of Ridgeway and Robert E. Joyce of Spencer; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and one stepgreat-grandson.
A graveside service was held Friday, December 26, 2003, at Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren cemetery. Minister Lawrence Harris officiated.
Pallbearers were Joe McLawhorn, William McLawhorn, Jason McLawhorn, Phillip Winn, Maurice Prillaman and Paul Cornett.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stone Memorial Christian Church, 3030 Virginia Ave., Collinsville, Va. 24078.
Arrangements were by Collins Funeral Services in Bassett.
