Beuna Mae Burris, 92, daughter of William Thomas and Missouri Adaline Walker Hill, was born Dec. 18, 1908, at Marshfield. She died Jan. 1, 2001, at the Valley Inn Nursing Home at Mancos, Colo.
She married John Burris February 1930 at Houston.
Mrs. Burris loved to quilt, garden and raise flowers. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband May 1982; her parents; three sisters and three brothers. Surviving are her son, Johnney Burris of Cortez, Colo.; a sister, Hazel Merritt of Dewey, Okla.; three grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Services are 1 o'clock Tuesday, Jan. 9, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Houston with Eugene Earp officiating. Burial will be in the Ellis Prairie Cemetery.Arrangements in Colorado were under the direction of Ertel Funeral Home.
