Miles Ray Mills, a resident of Floresville, Texas, passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, in San A ntonio at the age of 50 years, 10 months, and 4 days.
Ray was born on Jan. 26, 1958, to Louie and Patsy Reichle Mills in Three Rivers. He graduated from Calallen High School, and was a computer programmer with H-E-B.
Ray married Ellen Lynn Johnson on June 19, 1997, in San Antonio. He was a member of the Alamo chapter of Harley Davidson, and had been a resident of Floresville the past seven years.
Ray is survived by his wife of over 11 years, Ellen Lynn Mills of Floresville; his children, Kristie Shear and husband Eddie of Adkins, Kelli Mills of Adkins, Josh Bailey of San Antonio, Mark Mercer and wife Sarah of San Antonio, and Steven Mercer and wife Tammi of San Antonio; his mother, Patsy Mills of Corpus Christi; his sisters, Deann Jones and husband Gene of Refugio, Janie Armstrong and husband Philip of George West, and Peggy Siddal and husband Bill of Corpus Christi; and his grandchildren, Averi Mercer of San Antonio, Evan Mercer of San Antonio, Dameon Shear of Adkins, Jase Mercer of San Antonio, and Ashton Mercer of San Antonio.
Mr. Mills was preceded in death by his father, Louie Mills.
Memorial funeral services were held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, officiated by Deacon Scott Donaho.
