Wayne B. Keener, formerly of Red Lion, entered into rest after a lengthy illness on January 27, 2009, at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home at the age of 81.

Wayne was born on February 27, 1927, in Windsor, and was the son of the late Clarence C. and Cordia I. (Brenneman) Keener. He was the owner and operator of Ambience Design in Red Lion, working for many throughout the county assisting them with interior decorating.

He was also an actor performing in New York City where he resided from 1969 to 1993. He appeared in the former soap operas Texas and Another World and he also had a part in Trading Places with Eddie Murphy which he was very proud of, just to name a few of his achievements in acting.

He was a 1945 graduate of Red Lion High School. He was a member of Bethany U.M. Church and sang in their choir. Wayne was a member of the Red Lion American Legion Post #543, Red Lion Lodge #1592 BPOE, American Society of Interior Design, and was an associate member of the Screen Actors Guild. He volunteered at the Red Lion Historical Society and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WWII as a Sergeant.

He is survived by two uncles, Wallace L. Brenneman and wife, Doris of Red Lion, and Harry R. Brenneman and wife, Wanda of Dallastown, and numerous friends.

Following Cremation burial will be in Windsor
Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Wayne may not have had a large family, but everyone who knew him was very special to him and became a part of his life, just like family. We will miss him dearly.
