Mrs. Pollock Buried Tuesday

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Mrs. Charles G. Pollock, 84, pioneer Berthoud resident who died Sunday evening at the Grand View Manor nursing home. Mrs. Pollock had been in failing health for several years.

The services were held int eh Quay Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jay H. Arnold, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Mrs. Jap Waggener was organist.

Pallbearers were: Irving Ludlow of Longmont, Mr. R. B. Fickel, Louis Bein, John Kreiger, Jr. Tom McCartney and Preston Barrowman. Burial was made in Green Lawn Cemetery.

Nettye Belle Davis was born July 22, 1877, at Haverhill, Mass., the daughter of Ida Marian and F. I. Davis. The family moved to Sunshine, Colo., in 1882, and a few months later to Berthoud.

She was married in the fall of 1908 to Charles G. Pollock, also of Berthoud, and until 1927 they owned and operated a general merchandise store here. Following their retirement from business they continued to live in the family home at 739 Mountain Avenue.

Mrs. Pollock was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Laurel Chapter No. 44 OES. She received her 50-year membership pin from Laurel chaper several years ago, and was active in church and civic affairs for many years.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, C.G. Pollock, include two sons, Stanley of Ontario, Calif., and Irving of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. N.O. Reed of Glenrock, Wyo., one brother, Sidney L. Davis of Berthoud; and eight grandchildren, John Pollock of Ontario, Mrs. Bud Harsten of St. Louis, Mo., Judy, Candace and Dawn Pollock of Houston, and Gary, Jana and Lana Reed of Glenrock.
