Ruthy Isabell Johnson was the daughter of Alexander Johnson and Mary Pynes. She was the grand daughter of Daniel Pynes and Rutha Knotts Pynes early settlers in Henry County Alabama. Ruthy married John T. Stephens September 16, 1869. They had Jefferson Davis Stephens (m Mae Yarborough), John W. Stephens (m. Lillian J.).
