father to dorothy, robert william (uncle bob),ray (grandpa),leo, and devera.also father to two babies that died, they were ella may and floyd junior.

when floyd was born his last name was originally turnipseed, however in around 1910 1911 the last name turnipseed was changed to turner by his father christopher moxley.however there is no legal documents to prove this.but the family kept the name turner anyhow.

this is copied from his eulogy written by his son ray ,my grandpa.

for beloved husband & loving father

floyd turner born in des moines iowa on may 30,1897.

floyd is survived by his wife eva,his three sons(leo, bob, and ray) and two daughters(devera & dorothy).

mr. turner leaves 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

floyd had a great affection for little children:
neighbor children loved him and he loved them.

his pride and joy were his grandchildren.however, whetherrelated or not he was known as grandpa to all children.

mr. turner liked sports.wrestling and baseball were his favorites.

floyd was loved by relatives and friends alike.
he was a kind man and never spoke harsh to anyone.
he was quiet and pleasant person and had many friends.

during floyds last few hours he was with the ones he loved ,he was not alone---and it certainly seems clear that he deserved the love that was extended to him during that period.

the scriptures state that each man will be judged by his deeds of life. no one here should ever question how he shall be judged. his love, kindness and affection that he gave to all in his quiet unselfish way makes the gates of heaven look as bright and as certain as the morning sun.

one of floyds last words spoken were "I LOVE EVERYONE."

in closing,it can be assured that as floyd gave his love on earth it will be returned to him in heaven.
