Born: 11 Feb 1872 in McLennan County, Texas

Married: Camella L Rusha Polk aka Camella "Rushie" Polk on 10 Jun 1893 in Lockhart, Caldwell, Texas. They had at least 6 known children.

Died: 25 May 1948 in Hico, Hamilton Co, Texas and buried at Powers Chapel Cemetery in Rosebud, Falls, Texas

Children: (at least 6 known children born to William Smith Aikman and Camella L Rusha "Rushie" Polk marriage; the first being born in Lockhart, Caldwell, Texas and other 5 in Milam County, Texas - so the family appears to have relocated to Buckholts, Milam County, Texas area between birth of of first two children, being Archie (May 1895) &
"Vie:( Dec 1896/97):

CHILD 1: Arthur "Archie" Dexter Aikman (1895-1957):
Born: 10 May 1895 in Lockhart, Caldwell, Texas Died: 30 Dec 1957 in Temple, Bell, Texas Temple, Bell, Texas, USA (Served in WWI; Died at VA Hosp in Temple - removed for burial from VA Hosp in Temple to Conley Funeral Home in Waco, McLennan, Texas - Cemetery Burial location not yet known as of Dec 2008 - he was living at home with parents and sibings in 1930 census listed as "Single", but Tx Death Cert states he was "Married" when he died- wife's name not yet known - so he would have likely married after the 1930 Census and before his death in 1957)

CHILD 2: Viola "Vie" Lovie Aikman
(1896/97-1982):
Viola "Vie" Lovie Aikman aka "Sister" was reportedly blind and family talked about how she could play hide and seek as well as any of the others.

Last Residence: 78155 Seguin, Guadalupe, Texas

Born: 14 Dec 1896 or 14 Dec 1897 in Buckholts, Milam, Texas, USA (headstone in Powers Chapel Cemetery shows 14 Dec 1896; Tx DC & Soc Sec shows 14 Dec 1897)
Died: 17 Jul 1982(headstone does not have death date inscribed; death date verified by Tx DC and Soc Sec filing)
State (Year) SSN issued: Texas (1965)

Death: (see Attached photo taken by findagrave volunteer Connie Moore with Birth Date of 14 Dec 1896 and NO Death Date inscribed to it after she died - so it appears the headstone was likely set by someone before Vie died and most likely by her parents before they died)

Burial: Powers Chapel Cemetery, Rosebud, Falls County, Texas, USA next to her parents.

NOTE: We assume (but not verified) her parents ikely had her headstone placed before they died and put only the birth date (14 Dec 1896 and maybe the informant on her death records reported the wrong birth year as 1897) - We assume the informant on the Tx DC and Soc Sec records put the wrong birth year as 1897 v 1896, but not knowing who and when the headstone was placed, Vie's birth year discrepancy has not been resolved as of Dec 2008.

Married: Last known marriage was to an Unk Davis abt 1920 Note: as of the date of this summary in Dec 2008, I have not located her marriage, but on her death certificate she was listed as "married", so her spouse must have still been aliveon 4 Aug 1967. Her mother lived to a ripe old age of 93 (died in Jan 1967, just months before Minnie passed away in August 1967.
