Mr. Laing was a district sales representative for General Motors Chevrolet Division, Tampa.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he moved to Central Florida in 1950. Richard graduated from Winter Park High School, Winter Park, Florida with the class of 1960.
He was Episcopal. He was an Army Reserve veteran.
