Loyd D. Baker was born in Muskingum County, Ohio c. 1837/38, the son of William Baker and Nancy (Dick) Lincoln Baker. Nancy Dick was born on ___________ __, 1___ (c. 1799/1800) at ___________, Pennsylvania, one of five children born to William Henry Dick and ___________ ___________. William moved the family from Pennsylvania to Muskingum County, Ohio about 1810 and it was there that William was married 2nd to Abigail Parritt, who was 35 years younger than William. Five more children were born to William and Abigail before William passed away about 1828 in Ohio.
Nancy Dick was first married to Leonard Lincoln. They had 7 sons, all of whom were born in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio;
1. Robert R. Lincoln, born December 19, 1823; died November 14, 1887 in Crawford County, Illinois.
2. John Robert Lincoln, born in 1825; died in 1880 in Madrid, Boone County, Iowa.
3. Dudley Lincoln, born in 1826
4. George Lincoln, born in 1828
5. Abraham Lincoln, born in 1830
6. Elijah L Lincoln, born on September 17, 1832; died on March 20, 1916 in Fort Branch, Gibson County, Illinois.

After Leonard's death in 1836 in Muskingum County, Ohio, Nancy (Dick) Lincoln was married to William Baker on June 21, 1837. They had 2 children;
