Ervin Ray Layne graduated from Forney High School in 1948. Member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Mesquite. Owner of Ervin Layne Company in Mesquite for 35 years.
Ervin had an incredible zest for life. He was always positive with an energetic, kind, gentle spirit. But most of all, he was heralded for his great sense of humor and laughter he shared with the people around him. He was very loved and will be missed by all.
Ervin was married to Martha Nell Paschall Layne from 1949-1989. They had the following children.
Children: Allan Ray Layne, Paul Jeffery Layne & Amy Renee Layne.
Grandchildren: Allan Ray Layne II, Alicia Renee Layne Coplin.
Great Grandchildren: Caden Layne Coplin & Kinley Brooke Coplin.
The Layne Family was on Family Feud in 1980.
Ervin later married Julia Kaye Henby. They were married until his death.
Parents: Daisy Brisendine Layne & Benjamin Porter Layne
