Dick was the son of Clyde and Mary E. (Neighbor) Tomlinson. He graduated from high school in Corning in 1945, then enlisted in the US Navy serving as a cook at Naval Air Station in Alameda, California. He married Barbara Lee Wilson in June 1950 in Holton. He married Helen Malloy on May 4, 1968, in Corning. Survivors include his children, Rick Thomlinson, Linda Fletcher, and Brenda Beard, his step-children, Ron Lang, Tom Lang, and Paulette Grollmes, his sisters, Francis Johnston and Sarah Brown, 9 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were held at Laur Funeral Home in Seneca. Inurnment was in Corning Cemetary, with full military honors by the Seneca and Corning Posts American Legion and VFW.
