Bettie Jo (Scott) Hickey, 78, of Granbury, Texas, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, in Granbury. A memorial service was Sunday, Oct. 19, at Eleventh Avenue Church in Mineral Wells.Bettie was born Oct. 17, 1929, in Graford, Texas, to Albert and Jewell Scott. She worked as a nurse, caring for others at nursing homes and hospitals in Mineral Wells and Weatherford. She spent her retirement caring for her grandchildren. She is survived by four children, Barbara Kosakowski of Watauga, Texas, Mike Williams of Azle, Texas, Gary Williams of Granbury and Shalyn Mann of New Hope, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Vivian Elder, Martha Nelson and Helen Sterner.She was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Scott, in 1995.In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 101 Summit Ave., Ste. 300, Fort Worth, TX 76102.
