Walt attended Fairview and Matador Schools. Mr. Clower served in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. Walt was the son of Walter Clower so when growing up everyone called him Little Walt. His family knew him as just Walt and away from Motley County others called him John. He worked mostly as a truck driver or roughneck, and sometimes worked in the service stations, farming, and various other jobs.
He was the youngest child of James Walter Clower and LZ Lancaster Clower. He was preceded in death by one son- Johnny Ray Clower of Bruner, MO, his parents and 3 brothers: Jim, Carlos, and Fred.
He is survived by:
1 daughter: Judy of Fort Worth, Texas
4 Grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren
His sister: Bertha Clower Moore of Matador
and several other relatives and friends.
