Funeral services for Frank A. "Bubo" James, II, 61, of Houma, La., was held at 2 p.m. Feb. 5, 1992 at Blair-Stubbs-McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
Joe Hedrick, former Franklin High School football coach, and Charles Renfroe officiated. Burial was in James Cemetery near Franklin.
Mr. James died on Feb. 3, 1992 in Houma.
He was born in the Camp Creek Community at New Baden and had lived in Houma for 20 years. He graduated from Franklin High School and the University of Houston, where he played football for four years. He also was a member of the Los Angeles Rams football team for two years. In Houma, he worked for Franks Casing Crew in the oil field and was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include four sons, Frank James III of Oxford, England, Ben James of Lockport, La., and Fred James and Kelly James both of Dallas; four sisters, Frances Petteway of the Petteway community near Franklin, Zenell Dotson of Hearne, Paulene Howell of North Carolina and Modell Tacy of Lexington, Ky.; and six grandchildren.
