Barbara Jean Walls, 66, was born in Taylorville, Illinois to David Calliham and Clara Parrish Calliham. She was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Linda Kay Walls. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 31 years, George Walls, Sr., her mother, Clara "Tootie" Calliham, children, George Walls, Jr., Karen Barner, Pamela Jensen and husband Paul, Kelly Brown and husband Charles, Tina Ables and husband Bryan, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, along with several other relatives and close friends. Barbara was a member of West University Baptist Church for many years.
A service celebrating her life, led by Dr. G. Barry Landrum, was held in the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday October 15, 2006. Serving as pallbearers were Bryan Ables, Charles Brown, James Guyton, Paul Jensen, Steve Rutkowski and Michael Sapp. Honorary Pallbearers are Ron Griffin, Kyle McCreary, Gary Renfro, and Dr. Donald Cabana.
