Private graveside services will be Wednesday in McLouth Cemetery for Harold O. McAferty, 72, McLouth, who died Monday in a Leavenworth hospital where he had been a patient many months. He was born July 29, 1902, at Sabetha, and was the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Elmer McAferty. He had lived at McLouth many years. He enlisted in the Army during World War I and served in the Army in the Pacific during World War II. He operated the McAferty Oil Co. at McLouth many years before he retired in 1964. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at McLouth. He married Louise Boutwell in 1929 at Liberty, Missouri. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Roy McAferty and Elmer McAferty, both of McLouth, and Ed McAferty, Moberly, Missouri; a daughter, Mrs. Bill Dorei, McLouth; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Cota, Ormond Beach, Florida; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
