Kirkland Pruitt Armstrong, 82, passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, in Arlington.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist, 2020 S. Collins, Arlington, with Pastor Martha Bessac officiating. Interment: 3 p.m. in New Dublin Cemetery, Dublin. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Kirk was born July 31, 1926, in Dublin to Roy and Mellie Morris Armstrong. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Kirk was an arson investigator and property adjustor for Allstate Insurance Co. He was also the founder and president of Armstrong & Armstrong Independent Property Adjustors.
Survivors: Wife of 62 years, June Armstrong; son, Gary Armstrong and wife, Judy; daughter, Terri Doskocil and husband, John; grandchildren, Brian Doskocil, Amy Reneau and Alli Doskocil, Adam Doskocil, Sheli Bower and Courtney Cameron; great-grandchildren, Ian Cameron, Audrey Bower and Payton Bower; and several nieces and nephews.
