Bryan Mack Stacy completed his physical journey and rested on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at his residence in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 74 years, 6 months, and 15 days.

He was born April 8, 1933, in Bridge Creek, Okla., to Bryan Franklin Stacy and Onetia Maude Kindred Stacy.

Bryan graduated from Blanchard High School and joined the U.S. Army where he served in the military police. After concluding his military service, he served in the San Antonio Police Department as a patrolman for seven years until the mid-1960s. He began pursuing his lifelong interest full-time — raising and training horses. He obtained his auctioneering license and worked as an auctioneer for the rest of his life conducting charity auctions and horse auctions, including the Round Mountain Horse Auction, which he established and which continues today.

He moved to Floresville in 1978, where he continued in the horse business. He met and married Denise Villanueva on June 15, 1991. Besides horses, Bryan loved to travel with his wife to Oklahoma, California, Nevada, and New Mexico, where he was a regular at the nicest casinos and a very avid and skillful video poker player.
