Harry Lafayette Larzelere

Yardley Resident

Harry Lafayette Larzelere, age 87, of Yardley, Pa., passed away on Friday, June 20, 2008 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne.

Born and raised on a farm in Bristol Township, he has been a Yardley resident for the past 51 years. Mr. Larzelere was a U.S. Navy Seabee Veteran, serving in Okinawa. He was employed as a Supervisor, for 32 years at Reedman Corporation in Langhorne. Mr. Larzelere was a life member of the Chester W. Terchon VFW, Post #5532, a member of the Knowles Doyle American Legion, Post #317, Yardley, the Emilie Perseverance Co. (Apprehension of Horse Thieves), and the Sheraton Health Club. He was proud to be a direct descendant (11th generation) of the French Huguenots, who came to America in 1675.

Predeceased by his parents, Harry S. and Sallie (nee Wilson) Larzelere, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jane (nee Brennan) Larzelere; two sons, David James Larzelere and his wife, Phyllis Capiro Larzelere of Newtown Township and Paul Henry Larzelere and his wife, Bonnie Horne Larzelere, also of Newtown Township; three granddaughters, Tara Larzelere of Chicago, Ill., Danielle Larzelere, a senior at Penn State University, and Brieanne Larzelere, a sophomore at Lycoming College. He is also survived by one sister, Sallie Alberta Larzelere Caldwell Berg of Yardley; three nephews, Harry Larzelere, James Larzelere, and Preston Caldwell; and two nieces, Barbara Jane O'Donnell and Carol Ann Silcox. He was also predeceased by one brother and sister-in-law, Benjamin Wilson and Viola Larzelere.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Thursday, June 26, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, Walnut Street, Bristol Boro. Interment, St. James Churchyard Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday morning 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bucks County Association of the Blind, 400 Freedom Drive, Newtown, Pa. 18940.
