Newman - Final rites for Della Louise Crawford, 73, Stevinson resident of the
past 49 years who died Tuesday at a Modesto hospital, will be conducted at 2 PM
tomorrow at Davis-Hansen Funeral Chapel.



The widow of James Nicholas Crawford, she leaves the following sons and
daughters: Silas Crawford of Stevinson and Mrs. Jay Shurtz of Stevinson, Otha
Crawford of Berkeley, Zena Snedigar of Modesto, Robert D. Crawford of Fresno,
James J. Crawford of Gustine and Leonard J. Crawford of Auburn.



Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. R. L. Hayes and Mrs. Alice Ogburne of
Hilmar and S. E. Clark of San Jose. Mrs. Crawford was a native of Ukiah. Rev.
G. W. Brown will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Sunnyside
Cemetery.

Former Resident Passes



Word was received by relatives here of the death of Mrs. James (Della) Crawford
on April 21 at Stevenson, Calif. Death was caused by a stroke. Mr. Crawford
died last year.



They lived on the prairie at one time and visited here frequently. She was a
sister-in-law of Andy Harbke and aunt of Mrs. Martin Thompson and Mrs. Frank
Bogner of Nezperce.
