Mrs. Olsen received her education in the Provo City Schools. She attended Page Elementary and Lincoln High School, graduating in 1937. She later attended the Brigham Young University for two years. From 1937 to 1942 she was employed at the Utah County Agriculture Office. From 1960 until the time of her death she worked at the BYU Housing Office.
She was active in the Culturettes. A member of the LDS Church, she had taught Primary and Sunday School for many years. Her hobbies were sewing, hobby crafts and writing.
Surviving are her husband of Provo,; two sons and one daughter, Larry Derald Olsen and Rand Ferris Olsen, both of Provo, and Mrs. H. Parker (Shauna) Blount, West Lafayette, Ind.; five children, and two brothers and one sister, Clarence D. Ashton, Frank D. Ashton and Mrs. Anton J. (Leah) Gleason, all of Provo.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Pleasant View LDS First Ward Chapel 650 E. Stadium Ave., Provo, with Bishop Elwood R. Peterson officiating. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary. 185 E. Center, Provo, Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the ward chapel on hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
