Beatrice, better known as "Mammy" was the daughter of Crawford Trees and Anna Minerva Kimmel Trees, originally from Union County, Illinois. She married John Wesley Penn October 05, 1874 near Cedar Hill, Dallas County, Texas. They were the proud parents of thirteen children.

"Mammy" raised the children of her deceased daughter "Lora" Penn Stafford, little Charlie and Letha Stafford, until her death. Letha learned everything about keeping house, sewing, cooking, and much more from "Mammy". She was my 2nd g. grandmother and a woman I would loved to have known.

Rest in peace dear one.
