DALHART - Ruth Dunlap, 75, died Monday, July 27, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lakeview United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Edwards, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dunlap was born in Lakeview and attended schools in the Happy-Tulia areas. She was a member of the Happy Cowgirls basketball team that went to state competition in 1939.

After her marriage, Mrs. Dunlap moved to Dalhart where she was employed at various grocery stores. She served as treasurer for the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was an active member of the 55 Plus Club, the 42 Club and Lakeview United Methodist Church. For 12 years, she served on the Dalhart City Council.

She married L.D. Dunlap in 1940.

Survivors include a daughter, Rose Mary Ruppaner of Dalhart; four sons, Robert Dunlap and Randal Dunlap, both of Dalhart, Roy Dunlap of Amarillo and Ray Dunlap of Hartley; two sisters, Juanita McAdams of Antlers, Okla., and Ima McAdams of Dalhart; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to 55 Plus Club or Lakeview United Methodist Church.
