Funeral services for Ben D. Taylor Jr, 40, of 7204 Rutgers, bond supervisor for Home Insurance Co. and lifetime Dallas resident, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sparkman's Chapel Burial in Restland Memorial Park.
Mr. Taylor died Wednesday in Dallas. He was a graduate of Highland Park High School and attended Texas A&M College and the University of Texas, leaving college to serve in the Air Corps during world War II. He was a member of the Blue Goose, a professional organization for insurance men. At the time of his death he was bond supervisor for Home Insurance Company. Survivors: wife; Joan Sitzes Taylor, a daughter, Sherry Taylor; a son, William Warren Taylor; his parents, Mr.and Mrs. Ben D. Taylor Sr., and a sister Mrs. Quentin Barrow, all of Dallas. Pallbears: Bill Boatwright, Gene Wortham, Dr. Jim Hill, Jim W. Prock, Bill McCarthy, Albert Rives, Col. Bob Taylor, Quentin Barrow.
