There is a very good chance that this unknown Thompson is Colonel Thomas "Tom" Thompson. Colonel Thomas "Tom" Thompson and Elizabeth Ann O'Daniel moved to Marion County, AR, probably from Orange County, N.C. He was a blacksmith and colonel of state troops in Northwest Arkansas. It is possible that Elizabeth was perhaps a second wife but there is no information which would confirm this.
