Everett Wallace Snead, 85, passed away April 29, 2007 in Tucson, AZ. He was born in Riley Twp., Ringgold County, IA on July 6, 1921 to Floyd and Altie Snead.

Everett lived most of his life in Harrison County MO, with the exception of his service as a World War II veteran, which was spent in India and Okinawa, Japan. Everett was a farmer and a township road maintainer. He spent his last working years operating Public Water Supply District #1, serving Eagleville, Blythedale, and the surrounding farm areas and he is remembered as a good neighbor and for his willingness to help customers with any water-related problems.

Everett was a long-serving member of the American Legion. He leaves behind many neighbors, friends, and special friend, Betty Coulson.

Survivors include 2 Sons, Stanley and Wallace; daughter Carol Taxter; daughters-in-law Deborah and Lou; son-in-law Dr. James Taxter; and grandson, Dr. Greg Snead.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lottie, his parents, and his sister Lorraine Guilliams.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-noon at the church, where he was a faithful member. Inurnment at Payne Cemetery will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Payne Cemetery in care of the Roberson Funeral Home, P. O. Box 46, Bethany, Mo. 64424. Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com.
