Shane Anthony "DZ" deJongh, age 53, of San Jose, Ca, passed away unexpectedly at his home in , CT. Shane was born on April 1, 1970, in Fremont, CA, and is the son of Coleen (Pennell) Franzino and Steven Franzino.


Shane "DZ" was raised and lived most of his life in the California Bay Area.


He relocated to the East Coast in 2020, for an employment opportunity as an Engineering Manager with APCT, Inc. Shane had a work ethic, second to none, and his creativity kept him continuously involved in projects. He was an accomplished musician, writing and composing many of his own songs of several different genres, and playing for many fundraiser events for the benefit of others. He loved boating and was a proud fisherman, who caught countless bass and other exotic fish. Shane put love into everything he did and had had a passion for life. Shane's hobbies included working on his beautiful home, traveling, cooking, gardening, camping, and entertaining.


Shane is survived by his mother, Coleen and his stepfather, Gary Landi of San Jose; and his father, Steven Franzino of San Jose. He is the beloved father of Zoey Quinn of Chicago, IL; and is also survived by his step-daughter, Tiffany Rodriquez of San Jose; his cherished sisters, Robyn van Ekelenburg and her husband, Ellias of Granite Bay; Danielle Ponciano and her husband, Jason of Santa Clara; and Kristin Puckett and her husband, Clinton, of San Jose; his maternal grandfather, John Pennell of San Jose; his adoring nieces and nephews; his many amazing cousins and friends; his cherished dogs, Rogue and Odin; and his fiancé of 6 years, Natasha Vadasz.


His service will begin at 11:15am on Wednesday, November 1st at Lima Family Erickson at 710 Willow Street, San Jose and attire is Hawaiian casual. A burial will follow at 2:00pm at Calvary Catholic Cemetery at 2650 Madden Avenue, San Jose.
