Emma Alberta Woods, 72, Of Mariner Health Care Center, Formerly of Hopewell Township, died Thursday, Dec. 11 1997, in the Mariner Health Care Center, Moon Township. Born Dec. 30, 1924, in Apollo, Pa., a Daughter of the late Theodore Alexander and Elsie Ora (Walker) Lasher, she was a member of the Crestmont Alliance Church, Hopewell Township, and a retired employee of the Dietary Department of the former Aliquippa Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Clarence Woods on Jun 5, 1969, and a brother, Albert Paul Lasher. Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Terry B. Woods, James and Diana Woods, and Thomas T. and Ruth Ann Woods, All of Hopewell Township; two grandchildren, Curtis and Tod Woods; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eight great-step-grandchildren; a brother James Wilber Lasher, Bradford, Pa., and two sisters, Sarah Margaret McCelland, Lincolnville, Pa., and Martha Donna Smith, Union City, Pa. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Wayne N. Tatalovich Funeral Home, 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, Where a service will be conducted Monday at noon, with the Rev. William Kissill officiating. Interment will follow in the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township. From the Beaver county Times December 14, 1997
