Frederick W. Vach, 72, died this morning at his home, 128 W. Greenwich St. A native of Korthansen, Germany, he lived in Reading 39 years and was employed in the throwing department at the former Meinig plant, retiring in 1957.
For many years Vach was leader corps instructor at the Reading Central YMCA and also at the Allentown YMCA.
He was a son of the late Wilhelm and Kathrina (Hessemer) Vach, was a member of St. Mark's United Church Of Christ and of the Monarch Fire Co., Monocacy.
Surviving are his widow, Edith F. (Leibold) Vach; these brothers and sisters: William, of Farmingdale, N.Y.; Karl and Emil Vach; Ida, wife
of Adolph Enters, and Lena, wife of August Becker, all of Wuppertal Langferfed, Germany.
The Rev. LeRoy C. Brumbaugh will officiate at the funeral service in the Cramp Funeral Home on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be made in
Charles Evans Cemetery.
