Karen Sue Hewitt entered her eternal home on January 19, 2024. Daughter of the late Charles and Texel (Hunt) Hewitt, she was born on February 2, 1946, in Wendel, W.V.

Karen worked for 23 years at Pete and Johns' Store on S. Market; before devoting 14 years to her work with Arbors Nursing Home. She loved going on walks, cooking, sewing, listening to real country music, and watching football. She also enjoyed reading her Bible; especially after she became unable to attend church.

Karen is survived by her sisters, Jude Hewitt, Ruthie Hewitt, Becky Mills; brothers, Bill, Jack, and Ron Hewitt; uncles, Donald and Lawrence (Phyllis) Hunt of West Virginia.; aunt, Rosina Hewitt of Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and close friends, Beverly Mills, Bobby Smith, and Debbie Hewitt.

Family and friends may visit Reed Funeral Home CANTON Chapel on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Additional hours will be held at Carpenter Ford Funeral Home in Fairmont, W.V. on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 11 am to 1 pm.

Services, officiated by Pastor Randy Shafer, will follow at 1 pm. Karen will be laid to rest at Vincent Cemetery on Vinegar Hill, in Fairmont, W.V.
