He was manager of Ingle's Food Market for 25 years and a salesman for Groce Wearden Co. for 10 years, he retired in 1971. He was survived by his wife, Hilda Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment at Seaside Memorial Park. (Corpus Christi Caller-Times, Texas, April 29, 1991)
