A U.S. Army, WW II veteran, Mr. Blythe owned and operated the New Method Laundry & Cleaners for 26 years in Huntersville, NC. Surviving are his wife, Louise Lackey Blythe; son, Douglas Scott Blythe, of NY; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Blythe & Wilson Snowden, Currituck, NC and Jennifer Blythe & Thomas Moore, Banner Elk, NC; sister, Verna Mae Davis, Huntersville; grandchildren, Beth Hayford & husband, Brett Hayford, Cassie & Tyler Moore, and a great-grandson, Thad Hayford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Espy Wilson Blythe & Lillie Mae Hawkins Blythe. Interment in the Church graveyard followed services conducted at the Christ Community Church, Huntersville, Wednesday, October 12, 2005.
