CALVIN EDWARD SMITH was the son of Thomas Jeremiah Smith and Mrs. Novie Eunice (Lawrence) Smith.

"Calvin E. Smith, 74 years old, entered into rest on February 23rd, 2008. He was born on September 9th, 1933 in Marshall, Texas. His parents, Thomas J. and Eunice L. Smith, preceded him in death. Calvin was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is loved and remembered by his beloved wife of 27 years, Gilberta Smith, of Warner Robins; his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren including a daughter, Donna and Thomas Smith, of Washington; a daughter, Nancy Smith and Wendy Ports, of New York; a son, Randy and Suzanne Smith, of Florida; three stepdaughters; a stepson; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Other surviving family members include his two sisters, Shirley Jean Rowland and Martha Ray Dawson, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Calvin dedicated thirty-six years of his life serving the United States Government as an Electronics Technician and a Logistics Manager. Those years included seven years at Hill Air Force Base and twenty-nine years at Robins Air Force Base. Outside of work, Calvin enjoyed woodworking, designing and building additions to their home, gardening and traveling in his RV. Words can never fully express how much he touched the lives of those around him. He will forever be in our hearts. A memorial service will be Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
