We've been able to document Wilhelm Martin "William" Haveman as Annie's Father. He was a man of some distinction. He was chosen to be on the very first City Council (or whatever they called it then) for the city of Bryan, Texas.
Annie's Father, my 2nd Great Grandfather, was also murdered in Hempstead, Waller County, Texas when Annie was 18 years old. Annie's Mother died 2 months later. So Annie was essentially orphaned along with her younger sister.
My Great Grandmother lived in Austin with her daughter, Bessie Alva Hauer Harris, until I was 17 years old, when she passed. She was 91 years old, when she passed, regardless of what the obituary says.
