A visitation will be held from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 5 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Jacksboro. Entombment will take place at 12 PM Friday, December 8, 2023, at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas in the Chapel Gardens Mausoleum. A memorial service will follow at 2 PM at Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.
Myriam married the love of her life, Charles Sidney McClain on September 8, 1941, in Atoka, Oklahoma. Together they raised their children Sid Jr., Jackie, and Laura. Myriam was a faithful member of the Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas for over 70 years. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved and knew her.
Myriam is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sidney McClain "Sidney"; parents; son, Charles Sidney McClain Jr.; and siblings, Samuel Byram Snodgrass, Mamie Helen Banks, Guy Burleson Snodgrass, Wilson Malcom Snodgrass, Robert Truett Snodgrass, Daniel Trafton Snodgrass, James Kurn Snodgrass, and Edgar Earl Snodgrass.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Dr. Jacqueline Bass and Clyde Amick of Palestine, Texas, Rev. Laura Rothe and her husband Rev. Eric Rothe of Jacksboro, Texas, and daughter-in-law, Davie McClain; grandchildren, Charles Sidney "Chaz" McClain and Paula, Travis Lee McClain and Deanna, Jonathan Elliot McClain, William Charles Rothe, and Stacie Ann Bass; great-grandchildren, Caleb McClain and Taylor, Brittany Severson and Blair, Ryan McClain, Cody McClain and Dani, Sydney McClain, Brandon McClain, and Bethany McClain; great-great-grandchildren, Aspyn McClain, Lachlan McClain, Addi Severson, and Brooks McClain; along with many extended family and friends.
