Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with the Rev. Beverly Bowyer, Cummings United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Cummings Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in honor of Mrs. Schrader are suggested to the Cummings United Methodist Church or to the Donor's Choice and may be left in care of the funeral home. Lois Sears was born July 12, 1919 in Atchison, KS the daughter of Roy and Bessie (Poage) Sears. She attended school in Atchison and graduated from Atchison High School in 1937. She was a member of WCGUC for many years. Lois enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning food and ceramics. She dearly loved her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She married Milton (Sam) Schrader on March 7, 1938 at the First Christian Church in Atchison. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1996.
Survivors include one son; Gary (Pam) Schrader, Topeka, KS, two daughters; Marilyn (Rodney) Kooser, Atchison, KS and Barbara (Galen) Hisey, Cummings, KS, one sister; Elma Bode, North Platte, NE, 7 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren 8 great grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; Lowell and Harold Sears and 2 grandchildren.
