Mrs. Arlene Ladell Overturf Whitley, age 73, a resident of De Queen, died Saturday, December 17, 2016. She was born to Lester and Goldie Ward Overturf in Mineral, Arkansas, on January 15, 1943. She was retired as an insurance adjuster, as well as a homemaker. She enjoyed Decorating, collecting antiques, sewing, crocheting, and needle work. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Helen Sue Davis, and Sterling Overturf.
She is survived by her husband of almost 56 years, Tim Whitley of De Queen, two sons and daughters-in- law, Tillmon T. Whitley, III and Veronica Whitley of Gillham, Michael Wayne and Genita Whitley of De Queen, a daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Frank Sellers of Texarkana, Texas, three grandchildren, Jeremy Whitley, Ryan Whitley and Alyssa Whitley, a brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Helen Overturf of Gillham, one sister, Wilma Smith of Joplin, Missouri, a sister-in-law, Virginia Overturf of Baltimore, Maryland, anc a number of nieces and nephews.
