She grew up and attended schools in Cambridge. She married Allen Abbey on June 12, 1954, in Cambridge. She moved to Lawton in 1958. She was employed by Comanche County Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department in 1975, and worked until she got sick. Sons: Duane, John, and James.
