Mrs. Beatrice Betts Anderson

Beatrice Betts Anderson, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 29, 2023, in Plano, Texas.
Mrs. Anderson was born on January 7,1930, in Memphis, Tennessee, being one of two daughters born to the marriage of Edwin Hulbert and Mable Young Betts. Her parents later adopted twins, sister Connie Guraedy and brother Carl Betts. Bea attended school in Conroe, Texas and married Willie Lee Welch December 23, 1947. They had two sons and a daughter together. She later married Noble Anderson of Carthage, November 19, 1956. They were married 43 years before he preceded her in death in 1999. Bea Worked at the Tyson chicken plant while living in Carthage and later moved to Dallas and worked for Texas Instruments for 14 years.
After retirement, Bea and husband Noble moved to Henderson, Texas where they served the Lord through Faith Assembly of God in Carthage. They had many church friends who became like family. She loved baking cookies to share with others, taking care of her plants, telling old stories and laughing, and anything happening at church.
Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by her parents; sister Marie Betts Pharis and infant daughter Sherry Lee Welch. She is survived by siblings, Connie Guraedy and husband Phil of Arkansas, Carl Betts of Conroe; sons, Clyde Welch and wife MeloDee of Dallas, Wayne Welch and wife Phyllis of Garland; grandchildren, Sean Johnson, Nicole Dickey of Quinlan, Tammy Clark and husband Carie of Albany, Justin Welch of Richardson, Emily Purvis and husband Thomas of Royse City; great grandchildren, Dustin Dickey, Trista Ogan, Conner, Paisley, and Cache Clark, Kamrey Doles, Alyson Purvis, Presley and Bryce Purvis; several loving nieces and nephews and especially close to nieces Maudene Ward and Donna Kay Davis; special friends Thereasa and James Barton and their daughter Charley Olson and husband Nathaniel.
Funeral services will be held at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel in Carthage, Texas, on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. David Baze officiating. Visitation will be 12-1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the Restland Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Justin Welch, Thomas Purvis, James Barton, Nathan Olson, Ronnie Wall, and Danny Kuykendall.
