MT. TABOR.
It is with regret we chronicle the sad death of A. F. Chadwick which occurred the 27 [sic]. He had not been feeling well for several days, but on the morning of the fatal day done some work. Just afternoon he stepped out of the house and the family, thinking he had again gone to work, thought nothing of it till about three o'clock when the little boy, coming to the house, said his grandpa was not in the field. Search was immediately begun and he was found lying in the garden in a temperature considerably above 100 where he had lain one hour and a half. It is supposed on entering the garden he had a heart attack which prostrated and weakened him. He neve regained consciousness after being taken in despite the efforts of Dr. Campbell and a host of friends. "Charity covereth a multitude of sins," is applicable in his case. He was always ready to help alleviate any suffering in his midst. The funeral discourse was preached by Rev. Reagan at Mt. Tabor church in the presence of a large assembly. Thus passed away a noble man who showed his religion by his works and not by his mouth.
