Rudolph Wiese was born in West Prussia. He came to the United States with three of his brothers in 1893. He originally settled at Pipestone Minnesota. He married Ottilie Schmidt. I understand they met on the ship from Germany. In 1910, they moved to Oklahoma and farmed Southwest of El Reno. A doctor in Minnesota had told him to take his wife to a warmer climate for her health.

He was rather harsh with discipline towards my father, who was the oldest boy. Daddy would never discipline us because of how he had been disciplined by his father. However, when Emma, his youngest daughter, talked about him, it sounded like she had him wrapped around her little finger. She told us how she got him to buy her a piano and an accordian. She played both for as long as she lived.

Their children were Anna, Frieda, Otto, Emil, Leo, Emma and Richard.
