William married his wife Lillie Lorene (Morris) Batley on November 13, 1964 in Kennett, Missouri; she survives.
Professionally, William worked as the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at Subaru Isuzu for 14 years, retiring in 2002. William enjoyed smoking, reading, and watching golf on TV. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. His favorite furry companion was Mia, his Maltese.
In addition to his wife, William is survived by four children; three brothers; two sisters; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Charlie, Wesley and Clarence Batley; and three sisters, Marie Wynn, Luvenia Fowler and Arminda Buys.
