Ruth Elizabeth Fidelia Randolph, affectionately known as "Gannie" and "Aunt Ruth" of Richmond, Virginia. She was born into this Godly world on April 21, 1943, to the late Lloyd E. and Verlie Mae Randolph. The Lord called Ruth to her heavenly home on July 31, 2023, where she now rests in the Savior's loving arms.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd E. Randolph; mother, Verlie Mae Randolph; sisters, Eulalia N. Gailard, Gloria H. Johnson; sister-in-law, Nancy S. Randolph; brothers, Carl L. Randolph, Junius Guy Randolph; brothers-in-law, Samuel Gailard, Horace Hawkins, and Lawrence Johnson; maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ruth enjoyed being with her family and friends at family gatherings, friends at Bon Air Committee Center. She also enjoyed singing, dancing, and listening to old school music. Ruth would do talent shows with the kids, playing Bid Whist, Spades, and other card games before she lost her eyesight. She also loved to beaain the Senior Women's Group and the Prison Ministry at Saint Paul's Baptist Church over 40 years. Ruth accepted Christ at an early age and got baptized at Triumphant Baptist Church. She was educated in the Richmond Public School System where she graduated from Armstrong High School in 1961 and afterwards attended nursing school. Ruth worked at various jobs throughout her 80 years. She worked at Phillip Morris and IRS for 20 years until her retirement.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Sibyl M. Kee (Rochester); grandchildren, Rodrick Kee, Starr Kee (Julio), great-grandchildren, Kaden Kee, Dulce Kee, Romell Kee, and Zoie Kee; adopted sister, Florine Gordon; sister-in-law, Cathrine Randolph; godchildren including Sha 'Kyia Page and Lil Tony Randolph, Jr., a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
We thank God for the life of this loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was a beautiful soul who always put people's needs first and was there for everyone she knew.
