Fourteen years of Mr. Turner's life were spent in Goodland, Kansas, and six years at Afton, Iowa, before coming to Northern Minnesota. He married Viola Spencer, who passed away in 1896. Five of their seven children survive them.They are Fred of Salem, Oregon; Bert of Rossburg; Leon of Peonia, Colorado; Floyd of Brainerd and Alma Stewart of Rossburg. Thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were from Lutheran church at Rossburg with the pastor John S. Benson, officiating on Thursday afternoon. Burial was in the Rossburg cemetery.
