He was born in Saddle Brook to DeEtta (nee Schimonsky) Atkins and the late Robert Edward Kensek. He worked as a plasterer with his brother and father and later opened his own business Old Time Plaster in Hackensack. He always enjoyed a fun night of bowling, playing darts, and golfing with friends. Patrick was a proud member of the Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge 1506, Knights of Columbus, and the Belfast Golf Club. Being a father was the most important role in his life and loved nothing more than spending time with his children. He will be forever remembered for his compassion, sense of humor, and willingness to help others. Patrick did not just make friends he collected them.
Pat, you were one of a kind person, part of what attracted people to you, we know Brian reached his hand out to you and you did not hesitate to take it. Please rest in peace until we are all together again. You are so loved and will be greatly missed!
Visitation was offered on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 2-6 PM at the Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home, 59 Main Street, Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660. A Catholic Blessing was officiated by Father Kevin Carter in the funeral home on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 10 AM. Interment followed at 11 AM in Maple Grove Park Cemetery, 535 Hudson Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601. In lieu of flowers, donations to All School Special Needs would be greatly appreciated.
